What is Valuate?

Valuate is a powerful software tool that helps users compare the financial metrics of public companies or their own businesses to industry and public company benchmarks. It provides insights and analytics to help understand performance in relation to companies within the same sector.

What makes your software different from competitors?

Our competitors offer tools that are complicated, clunky, and overwhelm you with data. We believe we are the only provider that simplifies key financial metrics and can be utilized by users and stakeholders of any background.

Do you offer a free trial or demo?

All users join on our free plan. Certain features are only available to paying users - those features can only be accessed with a subscription. Please refer to our pricing page for applicable details.

How do I get started with your platform?

Valuate is available for web and for Mac, iPad, and iPhone. You can access the web application from from valuate.tech, and you can download the application in the Apple App Store to access for Mac, iPad, and iPhone.

How does Valuate work?

Valuate collects and analyzes financial data from public companies or the user's companies, then compares against a database of industry benchmarks. Our advanced algorithms provide you with clear data that highlights areas key insights..

Who can use Valuate?

Valuate is designed for stock investors, business owners, business executives, and business advisors of all backgrounds. Whether you're just beginning your investing journey, starting a company, managing a large portfolio, leading a company, or advising a number of companies, we believe Valuate can be helpful.

What financial metrics does Valuate analyze?

As of October 2024 (when this was written), Valuate analyzes revenue growth, gross margin, operating income margin, net income margin, and EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) margin. We focus on growth and margin metrics because it enables companies of all sizes to be compared to each other. For example, if you own a software company, comparing your revenue to Microsoft's revenue wouldn't provide much insight - Microsoft is a massive corporation. However, comparing your rates of revenue growth could provide more meaningful insight around how fast your company should be growing in comparison to larger companies.

How accurate is your data?

We use trusted, up-to-date data from reputable sources to ensure that our data and benchmarks are accurate and relevant. All public company data is pulled directly from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) EDGAR API. Valuate continuously updates its database to reflect the latest data.

Can I customize the benchmarks for my specific industry?

As of February 2025 (when this was written), we have not built the ability to customize industry benchmarks. That said, we are planning to offer this feature in the near future - the goal is for users to create custom benchmarks with a basket of public companies. Currently, you can compare a company to the standard sector benchmark or individual companies.

Is my data secure with Valuate?

Absolutely. Data security is one of our top priorities. We use state-of-the-art encryption and follow industry best practices to protect your business information.

Can Valuate integrate with my existing accounting software?

Valuate integrates with QuickBooks, by far the most popular accounting software utilized by businesses. We are planning to integrate with more accounting software providers in the near future.

How much does Valuate cost?

Please refer to our pricing page for our current subscription plans. Note that every user joins on our free plan, and there's only a cost incurred if the user opts into one of our paid plans.

How can I subscribe to Valuate?

As of April 2025 (when this was written), Valuate is offered on web and in the Apple App Store and available on Mac, iPad, and iPhone. You can subscribe to Valuate after signing in to the application.

Is Valuate available for web, Android, and iOS?

As of April 2025 (when this was written), Valuate is available on web, Mac (macOS), iPad (iPadOS), and iPhone (iOS). We plan to eventually roll out Valuate on Android but can't provide a timeline at this juncture.
